I'm born and raised in the Midwest and attended Illinois State University for a bachelor of science in education. I spent 15 years in a middle school classroom teaching English language arts, spent a little bit of time in school administration, and now I am presently self-employed as a real-estate manager, art gallery owner, and creative sculptor.
I've always been curious and fascinated with the world of religion. It's a topic that I seemingly always return to in my pursuit of understanding the world and having a better sense of self-awareness. I have read hundreds of books on many different beliefs, and this podcast is the most recent addition in my attempt to have a better understanding of the people and the religions that I am surrounded by in the Midwest.

I'm a Divorce Coach, Artist, Residential Landlord, Gallery Owner and Mom.  I love to read, hike and connect with others. I grew up in the Midwest and although I spent three years at Colorado State University, I returned to be close to family.  I was raised Catholic and have fond memories of my grandma hosting the local Catholic Priest for lunch every Sunday after Mass.  I fell away from the faith, but we have found ourselves not only sending our children to a Lutheran School but are surrounded by friends who are 'religious' or even involved professionally with a church.  I'm fascinated that so much hurt and so many wars have been had over religion, yet everyone I know who is religious is basically a good person.  Where's the disconnect?  This podcast is an answer to an internal question that although I can't put words to it, has been nagging me for a few years.
